About Timothy Pena

Timothy Pena is a U.S. Army veteran, journalist, and founder of The Forgotten Veteran and the Veterans Justice Project LLC. His work focuses on exposing systemic failures in New York City’s veteran housing programs and building solutions that restore dignity, accountability, and access to resources.

Drawing from lived experience and extensive advocacy across NYC, Timothy develops comprehensive resource guides, outreach initiatives, and policy proposals that support veterans transitioning from homelessness, incarceration, disaster, or active duty. His mission is to elevate overlooked veterans, challenge institutional complacency, and create a more just and effective system for those who served.
