Introduction — Photo Collages

The photo collages presented in Part 21 of the Borden Avenue Report 2026 bring together photographs depicting different aspects of veteran transitional housing, including facilities, meals, recreation, community involvement, services, and daily living conditions. Several collages compare activities and environments at MANA House in Phoenix with those documented or reported at the Borden Avenue Veterans’ Residence in New York City, providing a visual means of examining different approaches to veteran transitional services.

These comparisons are intended to illustrate differences in environment, community engagement, nutrition, facilities, and program activities; they should not be interpreted as establishing that the programs are operationally or legally equivalent, or that practices depicted at one facility constitute mandatory standards for another.



Like the individual photographs, the collages supplement rather than replace official records and independent investigation. They should be considered together with the financial records, program documents, emergency-response data, testimony, and other evidence presented throughout the Borden Avenue Report.
